Help...iTunes movies will not play in Windows Media Center!
How can I get movies that were purchased from iTunes to play in WMC? Is this a DRM issue? Are there ways around this? Thanks! Al F

Trouble ordering from the OPPO web site?
I ordered from the site on Friday and got a shipping confirmation later that day that my Oppo 83 will arrive on Tuesday. Call them first thing Monday morning. Al F

Great review! To think there were no "lows" in the review is awesome. By the way, my player arrives on Tuesday just in time for my birthday. On Monday I plan to order the Emo ERC-1 just for 2 channel CD playback. I'm pumped. Al F

Okay...One More Thing Since the 83 has USB 2.0 ports, can I use my external HD to play music and video through the 83. Not necessarily (sp) low-fi MP3s but high resolution music. Thanks again! Al F

Buying Decision
Major Update! I pulled the trigger and ordered the Oppo this morning as apposed to the Denon 3800BDCI. I understand the Denon to be an excellent unit and the price was right but the Oppo simply offers more as far as it being universal and it being more easily to upgrade the FW. I will...

Buying Decision
If you had the opportunity to purchase the Denon DVD 3800BDCI versus the newer Oppo BDP-83 which one would you decide on? I can get a good deal on the Denon while the Oppo in itself is newer and networkable for firmware upgrades. Why would you choose one versus the other? Thanks, Al

Rhapsody
Rhapsody, won't cut it for me for critical listening. Those MP3 format streams are bad on the ears! However, I still use the service to preview music and for background music. Enjoy the music! Al F

Onkyo or Emotiva
If you like ear candy then go with the Emotiva DMR-1 Receiver as it sounds amazing with movies and 2 channel audio. Compared with the Onkyo 805 Receiver it won't offer the latest incarnation of hdmi connectivity but it will surely beat it on sound and sonics. After all, that what it's all...

Emotiva 5 channel amp? or?
"Emotiva hasn't proven itself in either sound quality or product reliability." You can't be serious about that statement. Emotiva is known for their exceptional sound quality. I have the DMR-1 and it sounds marvelous with both 2 channel stereo and movies. They don't (Emotiva) have the...

I recommend either Emotiva's DMC-1 or MMC-1. Both units are amazing values and they both have audiophile sound! After all, that is what matters right? All the best, Al

D2Audio circuitry in Emotiva DMR-1
I don't know the answer to your question. However, if I were you I would pose that question on the Emotiva forum. You will find the link at the main Emotiva web site. Lonnie, the head guy and technical guru will more than likely answer that question for you. Happy Listening, Al The...

Yes, indeed that is a super deal with excellent sonics to match. I would look elsewhere for a sub though. Happy Listening, Al

China - An Emerging Market For High-End Audio?
What some technology companies are doing is designing their products internally and then having them built in China. Case in point...Emotiva. Labor is cheaper in China...hence that saving is passed to the consumer. Personally, I prefer British and American speakers. The mass produced...

One of the best deals in audio is the opportunity to get Kef speakers for more than half off the total bundled package. http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/bundle/542999169/1175728965594 Normally, the bundled price would be $6100 but this package is beig offered at $2700! This will leave...

China - An Emerging Market For High-End Audio?
Here is an interesting site on Chinese manufactored high-end A/V products. http://www.xs4all.nl/~viver/chinese%20hi-end/chinese%20hifi.html I recently purchased an Emotiva DMR-1 receiver and is quite happy with it's performance. Granted it does not offer the latest hdmi spec but what...

Neither...I bought the DMR-1 receiver instead. However, the plan is to use the anticipated 40% off discount when their new pre/pros come to market. In reality, the DMR-1 is one fine sounding product! Out, Al

Yep...you can bundle Kef's XQ series for $2500! Normal retail is about $5600. Included are the XQ5 front floorstander, XQ2C center channel and the XQ1 rears. The total price of $2499 includes shipping and taxes. This is one of the best deals in audio...
