By sdpif cable you mean use coaxial or optical out from the cable box right? I have some component cables, just didn't know the video/audio quality would be the same as HDMI.

I know that Paradigm's are great, but might I suggest some Def Tech speakers. The Def Tech studio monitors are amazing and the SuperTower will make you cry they are so awesome!

Hey Dave, I said I would buy a CLR 2300, but I ended up getting a pair of 7006's and a procenter 2000 off eBay for $700. So I won't be getting a CLR 2300. All I can say is the def techs are awesome!!!!

All I can say about the Newpoint is that it just plain works. I tested my amp without the power conditioner and there was a notable hum in the speakers. Hooked it up with the newpoint, no hum. This is a great value and really works.

The Newpoint has bright lights. I walked into my living room last night and it looked like a landing strip. However, this is a very small minus that is far out-weighed by the many other big pluses in my book.
