Been tuning and setting up my new HSU sub in man cave, loving it's deep sound. Problem now is my older definitive supercube III at the house. It quit now so its time for options. If I turn frequency knob I get 1 to 1 1/2 thumps and it's dead. So it's gonna need some attention. I've found a repair service that will repair it for $160, $185 to do my dead infinity alpha or I can just scrap it and spend 400 on a bottom end hsu.

I'd get rid of the DT, it wasn't much of a sub to begin with let alone putting more money into.

I agree with HD. Even if you have to squirrel away for a little bit. Your money would go a lot farther.

If you can sell it for more than what it takes to repair it, I would get it fixed and then see how much you can get for it. Look at used market prices for that model, and if it isn't going for much more than it takes to fix, then just take it to an electronics recycling facility.
