So wait a minute, I won't be able to view 4k content with my pioneer sc72 ht set up?

I recently purchased a Sammy js8500 4k tv. The sc 72 has pass through but no HDCP 2.2 hdmi port. What exactly does this mean? I think I get it, but a little confused. Any help appreciated.

First have you tried to pass a 4k source? As for a 2.2 port it would be the output not on the inputs that would matter. Pass through spec is different.

I have passed 4k on youtube with no issues, but we'll see when I try a 4k bluray. I'm buying a 4k player next.

What is the answer to this? Looking at going to a 4k display and have a SC-72
