Buying a new sound system

Hello,

I'm hesitating between sound system for my computer. My budget is up to 300 CAD. I have an optical output from my computer.

- Thonet & Vander 2.1 Ratsel BT Stereo Speaker |72 watts RMS

- Thonet & Vander 2.0 Hoch BT Stereo Speaker |70 watts RMS

- Thonet & Vander 2.0 Kurbis BT Stereo Speaker |50 watts RMS

- Edifier R2000DB 2.0 Speakers - Black

- Logitech Z623 (980-000402) -- 2.1 Stereo Speaker System

Do you have others suggestions?

Not familiar with those. When I think of computer speakers in Canada, my first thought is of the Aperion Allaire. review | product page

The JBL LSR305 are also very highly regarded.

Edit: Sorry, I just noticed your budget. Well, if you happen across either of those on the used market, they'd be worth considering.

If you're near Toronto, these white Audioengine A5 or these black ones or these other black ones would be worth a demo.

They've got built-in amplification, and your sound card green speaker jack is probably good enough. You'd need a 3.5mm stereo to two 1/4" TS mono plugs adapter. But those speakers are sold each, not in pairs. Two would exceed your budget.

I did see some Mackie active monitors that might fit the bill while keeping you within budget, but I'm not sure how they'd compare to the other options mentioned thus far.

Yeah i have just read comments and the price is just for only one speaker...
