sound canceling

I am looking for headphone that are sound canceling. Not just noise suppression and/or canceling, I mean total sound canceling. If I have them on I cannot hear anyone around me speak. I become effectively deaf.
Does anyone make headphones that do this?

I dont think it is possible to make "headphones" that block all sound. How ever there are headphones that reduce all the loud noises around and when you play music with them you should only hear the music and nothing else around you as long as you run the music on decent level.

And for absolute blocking of all sound coming in, I think the term for the music playing would have to be "deafening level" rather than "decent level."

That is true if the person is in really loud place to start with.
