No, it sucks because it sucks. The ratings don't mean anything.

I tend to think of IMDB ratings much like I do wattage ratings on speakers. They're arbitrarily chosen numbers that are optimistic at best.

It was only 60% approval rating when I went to see it lol. The two people I went to see it with both liked it.

The rating is equivocal for sure. "Terminator Genisys" is rated only 6.7, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Quantum has 6.7, so based on the scale between Quantum and Casino Royale I would have to give Spectre about a 3.4 rating.

Although the user ratings for Spectre are unusually high (from people who think if they try real hard to believe it, Spectre will become good). I have a feeling it will eventually settle around the mid-6's.

IMDB ratings used to be more relevant in early days, but not they've felt victims to their own
popularity. Way too many people voting whom have no idea what a good movie looks like.

7.2 is not bad rating by itself, but I find myself go to user reviews and sort by custom - age group and gender. Scroll thru first most helpful 5-6 reviews and notice the ratings.

Speaking of Spectre (2015) - I found it at least visually entertaining and 2.5h flew pretty fast, unlike latest Tarantino 3h monster. Worth a rent is my bottom line.

I can also see reasons for Craig make clear it's his last Bond movie - Lets face it - he's getting a bit too old for this crap.

Well he's definitely too old for that Bourne style action. Although I get the impression that Matt Damon is coming back to the role for Jason Bourne.
