    Default Beatles FLAC files 192

Has anyone managed to get the Beatles remasters in the FLAC audio format? I'm trying to find out if there are plans to release a higher rez set at a later time. I read it was remastered at 24/192 but does the USB release reflect that resolution?

The FLAC files are 24 bit, but they are sampled at only 44.1 kHz sample rate, not 192kHz. Having said that, I just burned a DVD-A of Abbey Road (using the freeware app DVD-Audiofile 0.81 for Mac OSX) and listened to the entire album-it is easily the best version I have ever heard, including the recent stereo and mono CD remasters and all the others (vinyl, CD and otherwise) before it. This is a must have for any serious Beatles collector, IMHO.

To late for me, I already bought the Stereo Remasters. That was suppose to be the best in sound of sound released for The Beatles. I missed again.

Could you point me in the direction of this app?

    EDIT: found it http://satellite.epix.net/~scb/index...dvd-audiofile/

The app is very easy to use-no Unix experience required since it has a GUI wrapper. As you will see, there is also a Windows version for those with the "other" OS. LMK how you fare-I'm a quarter of the way through the USB FLACs and have had success with every title so far.

I was about to pull the trigger on the stereo box when I found one of the USB boxes for a great deal. I already have the mono box, which is also very good-I wish the monos were also available in 24/44.1 FLAC format, but you can't always get what you want (oops, wrong band!).
