Free rental for my b-day from Redbox. Mixed feelings on this one, since I liked the original. It was very enjoyable, but took sort of a different tone than the original and came across as a bit less fun. PQ and AQ are pretty amazing on this one, so sort of worth the rental for those alone for Burton fans, but this one wasn't quite delivering the same level of feeling as his better known work. Not unlike Dark Shadows, this one felt a bit flat. The kids will no doubt enjoy it and the original live action short is included as well, so worth a rent, but not a blind buy.
