I haven't read the books. I'm going to see it sunday though. I'm not super excited or whatever cuz I don't really know anything about it, but I've heard nothing but good things about the movie so I'm sure I'll have a good time![]()
So who's going to see it? I LOVED the books and Jennifer Lawrence is crazy hot, but I know the theaters are going to be packed this weekend. I really want to see it though.

I read the books. Couldn't put them down.
I agree jgarcia, so I'll wait for the BD.
I have some free passes and was planning to see it in XD, but I don't want to deal with a bunch of loud-*** tweens. I should probably wait 'til next week.

Don't want to have to go on a Monday because other people think they are the only people on the planet that matter. We started going to the first showings on the weekend because there were less people (and it costs less, duh), but others figured that out too.
We went one time and there were a bunch of tweens in there literally just txting and talking on their phones, walking in and out. They didn't even watch the movie....THEN WHY GO?!!?!?! Mom & dad wanted them out of the house of course.

Funny, because she was featured on SI this morning too. Looks good in any hair color:

I saw her all over the TV yesterday wearing a green dress with a DEEP plunging neckline. Her boobs were almost falling out. I can't find any pictures of it though.
I love this one. Problems with your dress Jennifer?

skizzerflake should be listened to
Boobs and skimpy outfits aside (not much of that in the movie), it's pretty good. As dysfunctional future worlds go, this one is much easier to take than The Road and preferable to a zombie apocalypse. The allusions to the Roman gladiator world are a little heavy handed (names like Caesar, Claudius, Flavius and Octavia make it hard to miss) and the idea that all this is just around a couple corners from current reality TV culture oozes out of it. I also thought about The Truman Show.
Anyway, Jennifer Lawrence is excellent, in a role where she has to be even tougher than she was in Winter's Bone. The rest of the cast is as good as they need to be, but no better. As always, Stanley Tucci is good as Caesar Flickerman; he's one of our best, reliable character actors. I liked it.
