    Arrow The Tourist Blu-ray Review

The Tourist is a lighthearted caper film complete with Interpol vans, overtones of romance and international espionage. Starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, it features beautiful people in beautiful, exotic locales being chased by the kind of generic baddies that were rejected from a James Bond movie. There – you’ve just decided if you’ll like this film or not and you’re almost certainly right. Despite its wide berth of mixed reviews, The Tourist is neither a great movie nor an abomination of modern filmmaking. I found The Tourist surprisingly entertaining if equally forgettable.

Great review and even though I'm almost sure not to like the movie because I can't stand Jolie, I will get it because my girl loves Depp ... that sounds wrong. Anyway the mentioned picture quality of Venice and Paris sound like it will appeal to my girl as well. That's just the kind of selfless giver that I am ... always doing for others.

That's very giving of you Alex.

I too can't stand Jolie. I debated commenting on this fact in the review itself but she has crossed the line from actress to celebrity to me, hence I don't see her as a character in a movie, I see her as that attention-seeking woman that stars in too many tabloid stories.

Although, I have to admit the few 'decent' movies I see her in, she is a good actress and it's a challenge for me to put aside the 'angelina' celebrity cult when I see her in something.

Jolie was pretty good in Salt I thought. Agree with the tabloid/headline comments, but I was pleasantly surprised by that one....

Saw this last night and enjoyed it. I also fall in line with Wayde's review.

I thought she was really good in Changeling, though I agree most movies she's in are cheezy.
