    Default Veritas

I have been looking at the Veritas line myself at Vanns....very nice wood veneer, but actually similar to the RC and CR towers in terms of performance. The present Veritas line cannot be compared to the older Veritas line....the old ones weighed twice as much and were much higher end. I think the new Veritas is a good deal at present high discount only as long as you know that you are not getting the old quality which was similar to the higher end Paradigm models. The wood veneer alone makes them worth more than the lesser Energy models...Energy was purchased by Klipsch a few years back and now, Audiovox. Audiovox has a history of buying and bleeding companies for a few years, while putting no money into them. It appears Energy has abandoned the high end and Veritas is simply their average product in a nicer box....
Main System: Klipsch RB5s, RC3 Center, RS1 rears,Klipsch RS 12 sub, Paradigm Studio 20s to "B" speakers for 2 channel only, Yamaha RXV 659 Receiver and Samsung Blue Ray

Office: Yamaha RXV 995, KEF IQ 3s, IQ 1 rears, KEF IQ2C Center, Klipsch KV 12 sub

Primary Gear: Rival crockpot, Sharper Image nose hair trimmer, B & D leaf blower, George Foreman grill.

I don't ever remember seeing the v6.3 being 120 lbs each speaker. I do recall they were always very close to the RC70 in build / audio specs and I always wondered why they were priced so high. For the price savings (not sure if you'd really hear a difference) I stick with the RC70.

For argument sake I believe he was comparing the weight of the original v2.4i vs. the newer v6.3...although not quite double they were nearly twice the weight of the rc70 or V6.3's....

I'd consider 1500.00 as not bad for a new pr of v6.3's....I woulda easily paid that for a pr of 70's when I was shopping for Energies prior to buying my rc30's....nowadays I just sooner pass.

    Just my 2 cents...

Ahhh, that makes sense, the 2.4i's were quite a bit different.
