Default Just scored a Crown XLS 602 for $120

One of the fans needs replaced (bearing is shot).

    600 Watts / Channel at 4ohms.

So one Crown XLS 602 at $120

Two Infinity Kappa 120.w9's at $40 per (have to love employee pricing at Harmon). $50 worth of MDF. $85 EQ2.

    Awesomeness.

Hopefully the amp will work out as advertised by the seller.

The 120.w9s make great subs for home theater. Good low distortion driver.

Since it is a drop in replacement for the Kappa Perfect a dual sub setup should just rock.

Also may have scored a DSP1142 for $50

Do these Infinities compare to the W12GTI? Or are we talking different tiers here?

All right here is the current tally:

    Two 120w.9's for $80 total
One Crown XLS 602D for $129
One Behringer DSP 1124P Feed Back Destroyer for $62 ($39.99 plus $9.99 one year warranty plus $12 shipping).

    $50 in MDF:

So for a dual 12" Kappa, 1200 watt, actively managed two channel sub setup:

    $321. LOL...

Default Guitar Center is my new favorite store

I just received the FBD 1124Pro yesterday.

The thing has GOT to be brand new. And the packing job was superb for a 'used' unit. Still had the protective film over the display! Hats off to Guitar Center. From verifying the product was indeed the 1124P (because the picture was of a crossover) to taking the order over the phone, to the packing.

$62 shipped with a 1 year warranty. Just outstanding.

The guy that handled the transaction was out of the Plano TX store: Derrick. Dude YOU ROCK. I just let the store manager know.

Amp is in and one of the rack ears bent But I put a new muffin fan in and all seems well.

No DC offset and both channels measure same +/- .1 AC voltage wise fine at both 250 and 1000 hz.

Looks like 600 watts per channel at $65 a channel

    Default Some build pics...

I decided to make the tunnel sides out of one piece and dado... My business partner sent me a Rockwell versa-cut and at first I didn't know what to make of it. Now I really, really like it.

The 18 gauge brad nailer + clamps are my new best friend. Clamp up, hit it with some brads. Ahhhhh

    Default Some assembly required

I have the box together. One more to go.

All edges are dado'd. This makes for easy alignment and glue up. Real handy that.

    Some silicon and brads

The box at probably 50 lbs or so sitting on the other port. Things are stiff.
