    Given only those choices:

    1) KEF
    2) NAD
    3) Jamo
    4) I wish Oppo offers a DAC but they don't, so BDP-95, and only if you really can hear a 'better' sound quality from better DACs, otherwise BDP-93 that plays almost everything for $500 comes with high quality DAC, still. If you insist on DAC, okay take the CA.

With your budget, id say make the floorstanders Bowers and Wilkins over the others but if thats not possible, the post above covers pretty well.

    #1 KEF or Wharfedale
#3 Neither one, do you have any other options?

    For #2 and #4,
I am not sure if Eric Clapton cares, if you have a Amp with a seperate DAC.
Do you have receivers in India with a built in DAC? That option can save you
    some money.

Screw the DAC. Total waste of money. Put this money into something that truly matters - the speakers.

If you are planning on getting both bookshelf and towers, stick with the same brand.

Of the brands you listed, I would choose KEF and Denon or Marantz.
    REVEL SALON2 . B&W 802D2 . KEF 201/2 (6) . LINKWITZ ORION3 . TAD 2201 . DYNAUDIO X32 . FOCAL 826V . ATC SCM7 . PHILHARMONIC 3 . FUNK 18.0 (2) . RBH SX-1010N (2) . VELODYNE SC600 (4) . PIONEER MM301 (8) . DENON AVP-A1HD/AVR-5308/AVR-3312/DVD-3800BD . ATI 3005/3002/2004/6012 . BENQ W6000 . ADCOM GFS-600 . APPLE TV . KIMBER KABLE 8PR

Heard some PSB Imagine towers-about $1800-They were just wonderful! I also bought some PSB bookshelves for my brother in law-he loves them and so do I Also look at Pradigmn-I love my Titans. I also have a pair of Kirksaeters. Not too common, but very nice. they are accurate but not harsh. They have a wonderful mid and the bass is tight and tunefull. They are a truely wonderful speaker. Here is the problem: distribution is terrible and their website is even worse! However, a quick google search will point you in the right direction. Feed them some good juice, and you will love them too!
    Good listening,
    Mike
BTW see my post about the NAD 748 avr

NAD and PSB have always been a good match.

I'm assuming you're going two channel so just get a good player, which will most likely have a good DAC. Again NAD comes to mind. Marantz or Denon don't suck, either.
