Athena AS-F2 $400/pr anything better?

I know this has been often discussed, but I'd really like some floorstanders and these seem to have great reviews and great personal experiences from users. The only others I have seen compared are the BIC dv84's. I want to kick myself for not ordering the AS-F2's demo pair from audioadvisors.com about a week ago for $300/pair, but I like to research things and think about them. Once in a while it seem to be a poor strategy vs. pulling the trigger when the gut says go.

Can't disagree. I bought my AS-F2s about a month ago, and they sound incredible. Everything, and I mean everything, is crystal clear and perfect. Like you, I did tons of research, and found that Athena speakers compared favourably with speakers twice the price. You won't be disappointed.
