Sounds like your blue polarizer is going out. very common with LCD projectors.

So does that mean I can replace the blue and leave the others alone? Also will my projector die quickly or can it last a while?
Thanks

Yes you can only replace the Blue Polarizer. On a LCD PJ there is usually 6 polarizers. 3 IN Polarizers (one for each color...RGB) and 3 OUT Polarizers (again, one for each color...RGB). The blue polarizer that usually goes bad is the BLUE IN Polarizer.
It is usually a fifteen minute or job to replace the polarizer.
Here is a thread on replacing the blue polarizer (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=510143) on a sanyo plv-z1.
I do not know where you can get a blue polarizer for your Sony PJ. You can try Tritronics Inc. (http://www.tritronicsinc.com/sony.htm).
Hope this helps.

Jerry, while it's not projector with issues... I just want to say how nice it is to hear from someone who actually has a clue responding and offerring up excellent information on a real technical, inside the machine, issue.
Thanks for a couple of great responses - I will try to remember this stuff should my LCD ever have an issue.
