Hey everyone,

I am looking for a powerful receiver that could drive the yamaha RE30 speakers with 4 ohm impedance. All the receivers i have encountered so far on ebay can only drive 8 ohm speakers, so i was wondering that someone could give me some advice on what receiver i could pick for the speakers. the maximum power handling of speakers is 250 watts each.

Thanks!

Endre

I would get a separate amp for driving 4ohm speakers.

Use any Yamaha receiver, they are all rated to drive their speakers, I have driven my NS-1000x which have been known to go down to 1.5ohms easily with an ancient RXV-800 and also my latest RX-Z9 without breaking a sweat. I dont even bother to slide the UL requisite switch in the back to the 4ohm setting.
