Hi: I have a bose lifestyle 30 (jewel cube speakers) and I am moving into a place which is prewired for a 5 speaker and 1 sub system with standard audio cable. Couple of questions. Maybe somebody has already done this and can give me some suggestions:

1. the bose speakers came with it's own wire which has a RCA type adapter on one end and a propriatery adapter at the other end to connect to the speaker itself. How can connect the speakers to the prewired wire. Can I buy these adapters anywhere?

2. The Bose wiring is such that the 5 speaker wires end on the subwoofer and the CD/Receiver is connected to the subwoofer. I beleive the cable that runs between the sub-woofer and the receiver is a propritary cable. How do I connect all these components with the existing pre-wire.

Thanks
Ravi

Last time I saw that type of setup the answer was to get something else.

You have industry standard wiring in your home - which Bose ignores. In my opinion, it is the single worst thing that they do as a company and you are likely completely out of luck.

You're S.O.L. with adapters. You'll have to re-run Bose wiring, and use the pre-wired stuff for a guideline :(
