View Full Version : Which OTA HDTV receiver/tuner is good?
I know many of you are using OTA tuners for HDTV programs. I live in Charlotte, and most of the good digital stations are within 22 miles. Walmart sells a tuner made by US Digital, and I read that it is so so. Some people say Zenith is good. So, which ones have you used that worked well for you? I know it varies location to location, but all things considered (including mullah), which ones would you recommend, and from where? :)
Thanks!

I have had good luck with the LG/Zenith OTA tuners.

Do you have a model number that I can check on? Also, what antennae are you using? Thx for your response. :)

I install these at work and I owned one for about 6 months. The LG OTA is the LST-4200a. I believe it can be found for under $300. In my own house I used a Zenith indoor UHF antenna. The local towers are approx. 15 miles away. I had no problem pulling in a signal. Other parts of town needed a larger antenna either on the roof or in their attic.
Hope this helps,

I only sell one ota atsc tuner and it is made by Samsung. I have had no problems with it yet. The model number is sirt451.

Thanks! Yes, I'll check out that model. I guess an indoor antennae might be good enough for me since I have most of them within 20 or so miles.

One other member mentioned the same model. I'll look into it. Thanks for the wonderful feedback. What antennae are you selling this model with assuming the stations are closeby?
