Hi, I am currently living in the US, but have to move to Europe in a few month. As I move with all my stuff I am trying to figure out if I can keep my big screen TV and use it in Europe. Power is not an issue, I can handle that with a downstepper, but...
PAL has a higher resolution than NTSC so a converter from NTSC to PAL results always in a quality loss, but is anyone aware of a PAL->HD converter? That should look good...

The same question comes up with the DVD player and home theater system: Can I use a hiscan, US DVD player, which is code free, in Europe?
Assuming I cannot use my current TV, would it work with a PAL-TV which supports 60Hz or NTSC?

Thanks for any input...

Many of today's TVs support PAL format. You might also look at scan conversion boxes available from www.extron.com which will have no problem taking the input and outputting it in a resolution native to your TV.

A region free DVD player should work anywhere in the world.
