I went to use my URC RF-20 remote last night and it was working, wouldn't come off the main screen. So i replaced the batteries and now it won't come on at all. No menu screen, no backlight, and no signal. I bought it in July from the Audioholic store.
Just a quick check - are you sure that the replacement batteries are good?

Sounds like bad batteries to me as well.

Ha, yes, that was my first check before I went into panic mode.
And the batteries are inserted in the correct orientation?
BTW, I'm not trying to sound patronizing at all. Just want to check the easy stuff first, because we all know this stuff happens to a lot of us.

Ok, this is probably the dumbest thing in the world, third set of batteries worked. Now I feel stupid. I'm guessing the rechargeable batteries I was using are shot. Pulled some out of my calculator and it works. Glad it's fixed, really wish I hadn't posted this. Thanks for the help.
Sweet! I'm glad that you got it working again.
