View Full Version : Which amp?

I am looking at building a sub woofer amp. Its input is via a pre amp output (uses rca type lead). Is there an easy way to measure the output from the main amp? It would only be used for a 70watt sub woofer until i build another one, so it needs to have plenty of power. Which class would you recommend for compromise between good quality audio and cost?

I would like the following:
Adjustable volume
Adjustable crossover
Proper off switch (not a standby one)
Works in Australia

Is it possible to have a display showing the output of the sub woofer amp?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Thanks for that.
I am really looking for a kit or schematics, unless it becomes really expensive.

Hi mate, and Welcome to Audioholics. :)

Hey Sam, you might want to have a look in the "DIY Corner - Tips & Techniques" or
"Subwoofers", in the threads from the these appropriate Forums.
* There is a guy there, named Chris, who goes by the user name of: WmAx.
I'm sure he'll be able to help you out.
