I may be willing to give these a chance. Anyone ever tried them?

You ever heard of the brand?
The Avatar is a running joke from the "Boring" thread.

I've never heard of the brand. The three reviews look promising so that is a good sign.
Are you thinking of using these to replace the duals or putting them out by the pool?
I've had the Polk Atrium 45 for several years and they are nice. Only a 4.5in driver so I would not compare them to an 8" model. At 149 they are both around the same price.

I guess my fear is that they will sound good but won't hold up to the elements down the road and then I have something to loose.

Just going to add them to the system, way out on each corner of the house.I've never heard of the brand. The three reviews look promising so that is a good sign.

Hey Greg, will they be sheltered under a soffit or anything?
If so, they will fair much better than anything subjected to direct sun and rain.
FWIW : I take all my speakers inside during the winter months.

It looks like the speaker wire connects in the front of these. That will be difficult to make a clean install won't it?
