center channel

My current audio below.
Current CC = Paradigm CC-100

I am in the market for a new center channel. I can not match my fronts anymore, unless I go with Polk.

I want a kick-azz cc for under $1200.00 (not paying retail).

I have narrowed down my decision to two:

Martin Logan Matinee

Definitive Technology C/L/R 3000

My conclusions, but I am not an expert.
The Martin's have a crisper mid level and better highs and more base than my previous cc.
The Def Tech has the bass.

Can't decide which will better suit my system.

If you want to keep Polk mains, then get a Polk center. It's either that, or forget the center entirely, and go "phantom".

If for some reason that the matching center is no longer made, it's worth contacting Polk to see which of their existing models might be the best match.

The goal is to acoustically match your front stage.

The RTi series would be the closest timbre match.

I have been told that tweeter type is the most important key to matching speakers.

Does any other company use the same type tweeter as my Eosones (Polks) for a decent match?

Can I replace the tweeters and drivers in my Eosones to make them a LSi equivalent?

I see the term "reference" speaker. Does Polk make a speaker that gets this attribute?
