Welcome to the forum!

The lady downstairs is going to get mad no matter which ones you buy. :D

J/K! I don't have any opinion on those brands, but I wanted to welcome you. I've heard good things about all three, and I know that there are members here that own those brands.

I like Jamo's out of those you listed. The Jamo C607 is a sick speaker for the money.......the Jamo C603's are awesome as well. Energy is owned by Klipsh now so in my book they are out. I have heard a few pairs of MA's that sounded really good. For the price though Jamo's are smokin.......

yeah i really like the jamos. As me being a newbie, what would this be. Running two towers, two bookshelfs, and two subs, all as front speakers.

Complete overkill IMO. 2 C607's for your fronts with 2 subs will be a smokin 2.1 system. No need for bookshelfs.

Jamo is also owned by Klipsch. (http://www.jamo.com/na-en/about/)

I don't fully understand this acquisition, but here's the details (http://www.klipsch.com/news-center/press-releases/details/klipsch-group-inc-acquires-audio-products-international.aspx).

Yeah I was wondering about your ownership statement as well. Since Jamo is owned by Klipsch as well. Energy is being run on its own as is Jamo and there both making some fantastic speakers.

I didn't know that Jamo was owned by Klipsh.I am not a fan of the Klipsh sound myself and was suprised to learn they owned Jamo.I really like the Jamo sound and have heard some Energy stuff I liked as well I guess Klipsh is letting them do their own thing.

Klipsch actually acquired Jamo in 2005 before the API brands of Energy, Athena, and Mirage in 2006. But it doesn't look like a bad thing, even if one doesn't care for the Klipsch sound.

"Our partners will be pleased to learn that distribution stays the same and Jamo is a fully funded, independently operated company under the Klipsch Audio parent company."

Yeah, Klipsch has nothing to do with design, build and quality control at Jamo. It's more a marriage of convienance.

adammr, welcome!

See if you can audition all three brands and decide for yourself which one's you like.
That's really then best way to do it.

Personally, I love the Jamo speakers (listening to some Dire Straits on my C607, right now). But it'a all a matter of personal taste, budget and application.

I have some Jamo C605s on the way for my bedroom system. Since I haven't heard them, I can't tell you how they sound. By reputation, I think Jamo is the best choice. If you have a chance to listen to them, that's the only way to know for sure.
