I have the service remote for the tv and the service manual, but it has tech abbreviations for the settings so it is hard to make out what I should change in calibrating the tv to get the best picture. Can anyone help with finding out what the abbreviations mean as there is no glossary in the service manual. I have attached a page of the manual so you will know what I am talking about.

Hi. I did a Google search for "5020fd service menu" and came across some sites.

During the searching around, I found this thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1034208) from AVS Forum. It's 364 pages, so I slacked out and didn't look through it all. :o :D

The 5020 & 6020 doesnt have the same offsets as previous non elite models. This was an issue for some that swayed them to the elites. I highly recommend reading up before attempting any changes in the SM. Search the avs link Adam provided for exacts. See D Nice's night time settings for a good place to start. Day or ambient light viewing will affect settings to much to warrant any use of others ISF settings. You can always pick a cal disk and make adjustments in the home menu.
