I've read many postive reviews for Axiom and Ascend Acoutics. I am looking for feedback between the following (room 19x17x10 carpet):
Axiom: (Grand Master) $1,643
Front M22ti
Center VP150
Rears QS8
Sub VP175
Ascend Acoutics $1,409
Front CBM-170
Center CMT-340
Rears CBM-170 surrounds
Sub HSU VTF-2 MK2
Thanks

i have a very similar ascend setup:
Front L/R: CBM-170
Center: CMT-340c
Rear L/R: HTM-200
Sub: HSU VTF-2 mk2
They sound great in my 20x12x12 room. The axioms are supposed to be a great set of speakers too, but i have never heard them so i dont want to suggest one over the other. I really have enjoyed my ascends over the last 3 months, no regrets there. if you haven't, check out their forum at www.ascendforum.com

I would suggest for your front mains switching out the 170's with the 340m's. IMHO, they are a significantly better speaker and play much bigger and fuller especially in a larger room like you have. Not sure of the exact upgrade cost (aprox. $200-$300 I think) but that should put the Ascend price very close to the Axiom's.
