I own them, for what I paid for them I couldn't imagine getting anything better.

The bass response is a little sparse unless your listening at volumes above normal listening levels. For HT use they perform very well and definitely will fill a medium to large size room with little trouble.

Could you describe the actual sound more specificly? How are the mids and highs?

I'd say they're on the bright side of things, the mids are fairly detailed. When not watching movies I use them in stereo and they provide an excellent range.

I paid $300 for a pair CDN, for that price I got a lot of speaker.

I actually like "on the brite side of things" if the mids are decent, and with my sub they should rock. I can get them referb. for 3 twenty five.
