Just need a single disc player (and do not need DVD functionality). In my limited research so far, this is in the lead...

maybe I'm crazy, but what about an Oppo so you can have SACD and DVD-A capability as well? Just a thought.

I highly recommend checking out http://www.accessories4less.com for factory refurbished deals. They have superb customer service (IME) and equally impressive prices/deals.

For under $200, you can get a superb Marantz 5 disc changer, factory refurbished, from that source. Or choose from a selection of single disc units also. Personally, I can't stand single disc players. :)

Hi. Your link didn't bring me to a product page, but rather to a main page for B&H.

What sorts of features are you looking for? Do you want it to play MP3s? WAV files? Are there any particular editing features that you'd like - such as fading?

I recommend DVD players even to those people just looking to play CDs because (a) they also play CDs and (b) they tend to be cheaper these days. More people buy DVD players than CD players anymore, so CD players (the ones that I've looked at, anyway) seem to cost more and do less. Just a suggestion that you might want to also look into DVD players, even though I know that you aren't looking for DVD capability.
