I didn't search for an existing thread, but I'm pretty sure it would be up at the top.
I've watched the trailer, looks good (some times these after thought movies receive no thought whatsoever). You're thoughts?

It looks pretty interesting. I wonder what the film's budget was compared to X-Men.

Been waiting for this one for a while. I hope they keep to the actual story though, since the Xmen movies did not, and his story is one of the most interesting ones. The 4 issue limited series is one of the better ones that I've read.

Thanks Brian. Really looking forward to seeing this one. The new Underworld also looks promising. I may get to see Gran Torino this afternoon after work. Looks like the movie business is about to pick up!!!!
Cheers,

I was reading something the other day at the doctors office and it said wolverines are on the endangered species list.

Last I had heard, they were being decimated by a (I think) virus. It was really sad. I think that it swelled up their face so that they couldn't eat anymore.
I sure hope that humans or nature find a way to help them.

Trailer looks interesting, but why the hell is Gambit and The White Queen in this?!?!? They have NOTHING to do with Wolverine's origin!!! I HATE when they change things from books or comics in movies. Like I hated how they changed Yuriko's (Lady Deathstrike), in X-men 2. I had a subscription to X-men for years when I was a kid, and Logan was always my favorite character. Stop messin' with stuff!!!
The guy playing Blob looked pretty cool. I don't think the guy playing Sabertooth is near big enough. This can be a great movie if they do it right.

I also hated how they changed Logan's relationship to Kitty Pride and Rouge. Kitty takes a lesser role and Rogue has taken that place as being taken under his wing sort of. That is just flat out wrong. They mixed in The New Mutants, but didn't really talk about them, and relegated some of the primary, original characters to "students", which also irritated me. The trailer makes Gambit look like a bad guy?

I guess I'm biased not being a comic reader. So I like the movies they did. As a director you would not want to go word for word on a story that has ben done. You add your own touch and style. I know this ticks off the die-hard's but a new twist or seeing some other maybe new characters is good. But yea the movie looks good. I also watched a clip of 2012. Looks cool too. gatta love my doomsday hype...

I liked the movies, except for the 3rd one, just like I liked the Lord of the Rings movies, but they aren't like the books. Yes, we all know that they won't be the same, but outright changes can be annoying.

3rd X-Men movie ticked me off... This one looks like it will be great, though.

To me that's NOT the point of making a movie. You're supposed to be bringing the comic/book to life, not putting you're personal spin on it. What if the director of The Green Mile had decided that it would be more exciting to have John Cofy die in a prison riot or something stupid like that? The reason that the movie is being made in the first place is because fans like it, and obviously fans like it just the way it is. Don't screw with something that's good!
That's precisely why the Elric movie has been such a long time coming. The author Michael Moorcock refuses to compromise his vision and has stopped projects many times. Personally I have a lot more respect for him, than someone like Stephen King who lets anyone with a big enough check completely bastardize his books.
P.S. I actually liked the third X-men better than the other 2. Although I HATED how they just threw in the Phoenix and made it a split personality of Jean Grey's. Dumb.

at least it's better than the cartoons!
At least I'm not waking up at 7am on a Saturday to see re-runs for the third week in a row... Thanks alot, FOX!
I’m just happy that Gambit has finally come in to play. I don’t care if he shouldn’t be in wolverine’s storyline or not. I was annoyed he wasn’t in the first three. And ol’ sabertooth… isn’t he dead? So, this must be a pre-X-men wolverine, right? So, where was Gambit in the other x-men?... can I assume that gambit died before wolverine became an x-man, according to the movies’ time line? *stupid*
Oh, and can I get more Sentinels? The few in the ‘war room’ (or whatever it was called) that were virtual reality in the third x-men movie weren’t enough! Can I get an amen!?

Logan is one of the originals, so Gambit came WAY after, so I am not sure what you mean? Yes, the reason it is called X-men Origins is because it is telling Logan's story of how he became the way he is, prior to becoming an X-man and Sabertooh was part of that story.
I wouldn't mind seeing more Sentinels :)

I was making a point: that why would they have Gambit in the originals and not in the x-men series? If you follow the movies’ lineage none of it makes sense per the comic. I know the story line pretty well. I followed x-men like crazy when I was younger. I still have box sets of Marvel masterpieces and Fleer cards. Worth nothing now, but I spent hundreds as a kid (a lot of mowing lawns).
More sentinels is always a good thing, but our shot at that is now out. :/
