some systems to consider:
HSU Research (a little bit above your budget, but worth it)
http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/enthusiast1.html
Energy speakers
http://www.wwstereo.com/#/ecommerce/store/Speakers/33/144560//
Polk Monitor series (soon to be discontinued, great sales on)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290017
add a polk center and a subwoofer from Velodyne or HSU Research or Parts Express "Dayton" line, surrounds can be Polk or any other decent brand of speakers you can find a deal on like the Energy C-50's http://www.wwstereo.com/#/ecommerce/store/Speakers/33/144501/9_1_4_-1__0_0_0_-1/
if size is an issue, just use 5 Energy C-50 speakers and a really good sub from HSU or Elemental Designs
good luck

I have heard some good things about this product, so it is worth a look.

Thanks! Especially because I'm home bound stuck in a wheel chair. I found the following prices shipping included;
250 Polk Monitor 60 a pair
120 Polk cs2 center speaker
138 Energy C-50 four surrounds
209 Velodyne 12 " sub woofer
717 TOTAL
Good for my set up??

that would work nicely, but if the Monitor 60's were from Newegg.com they seem to be out of stock, just Monitor 50's and 70's and they are going very fast.
