help with sub and Yamaha htr-5460 receiver

<font color='#000000'>hi guys, i was wonderin if you can help me with my problem. I have a 100W subwoofer with 1 input in the back of it for the sub cable. I plug the sub cable into the back of the receiver where it says &quot;woofer&quot; and i turn the sub on but nothin happens. I was wonderin if there was a setting on the receiver that i need to set to enable the sub to work, but it is not my receiver and I do not have the manual. Any help is appreciated.</font>
