Guys, was able to see the movie "Twilight" this evening. To be honest, I was NOT expecting too much. Figured it was just going to be more or less a chick flick. To my surprise, the movie was decent. I mean, at times I found myself liking it. There were a few funny moments here and there. One thing though-I did NOT like the ending at all which seems common place nowadays. :(:( In short, Twilight is worth a look whether it be a rental or at your local theater.

Cheers,

Phil

Heh.. trust me I'll be watching this when it comes out;). My daughter read the entire series and just last month, she stood outside all night long just to get in studio passes to meet the actors(ok maybe just Robert Pattinson, aka Edward:p and shes gots pictues on her facbook to prove it:D). IMO Vampire movies scared the crap out of me when I was young, but now they are seen in a different light because of this book:eek:.

I'll wait for it to be on blu-ray, but I know I'd put it in that girl from it.

Hi Billy. When you do see it be sure to share your thoughts with us. I mentioned to a few last night at my local grocery store that I had just went and seen this movie. Funny thing is, every single one of them asked me if I had read the book. To be honest, I am not much of a reader. :o:o It is not so much that I don't enjoy doing so, but simply a matter of finding the time to do so. Evidently, the book is very good. Thanks for the heads-up.

Cheers,

Phil

I must say there was a lot of "Eye Candy" in it. Nothing wrong with that at all if you ask me. The more the merrier I always say! ;);)

I agree that Underworld is a better film. Like you, I am looking forward to seeing the next one. Alas, January 23rd will be here before you know it! However, it won't be soon enough as far as I am concerned. :p:p The main thing I did NOT like about Twilight is the ending as it left me with that WTF feeling I loathe.:eek:

Yeah, overall, I also liked "Twilight", and I would definitely see the sequels.

But......

SPOILERS ALERT

SPOILERS ALERT

What I did not like about Twilight:

1) Sparkling vampire skin in the sunlight?
2) Vampires going ga-ga goo-goo crazy over the sight and smell of human blood is really old and lame.

What I love about Underworld:

1) Vampires couldn't care any less for Human blood (sight/smell).
2) Hybrid Vampires immune to sunlight. :D

Can't wait for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans!!!

Rhona Mitra is hot!!!

12th Century Medieval setting is awesome!!!:D

Very much agreed! One thing I would like to add is that the fight scene was very weak in Twilight.:rolleyes: I mean, it seemed like in the advertisements there was going to be more of a battle. I also thought the sparkling skin was lame at best. ;);)

I also totally agree that Rhona is a hottie! More like el*ible if you ask me. :D:D Really liked the movie sound effects too. The new one should be great. Thanks for posting.

Phil, thanks for posting your view of the movie. I saw the trailer for Twilight and it didn't do much for me. I might give it a rent when it comes out.

The new Underworld looks like it has a lot of potential. And Rhona Mitri is definatelty sexy. I liked the two previouse Underworld movies, they were both entertaining and didn't cross to line too often into just plain stupid, what I mean is the willing suspension of disbelief was maintained for me.

Exactly Jack. I agree 100 %. I would think at the very least, Twilight would be worth a rental. When you do see it be sure to let us know what you thought about it. Like you, looking forward to seeing the new Underworld as well. ;);)

I hear ya. However, after watching this one I must say it was better than I thought it would be. The ending could have been better and there were a couple other things that were cheezy. To be honest, Twilight kinda surprised me. It is worth a rental if nothing else. ;);)

The DVD had a really good picture quality and the audio was good too. That's the steroids.
I nearly walked off in the first 10 minutes. The guy was pretty cute though.
Me and Billy P's daughter have something in common. :D
