Just took a few books back to my library. DEAR LORD they have totally busted out the Blue Ray selection. Over 45 titles.
We have always had a killer DVD selection. But this is t*ts.:D
Our library system has a better selection than any local rental place and if they don't have it at the branch you can request it and ~48 hours it will be at the nearest branch on hold. They email you when it comes in.
I love my library.
We don't have anything like that around here.

Libraries are good too ;)
After a YEAR, the Hollywood Video up the street got Blu-ray. I haven't checked the local library, but Hollywood is closer :) I have a bigger selection of titles than they do.

Hollywood Video charges like $7-8 to rent a high def movie. That is too close to E-bay pricing of $12-15 for most catalogs. The public library is free (or already paid for via your local/state taxes).

$6 for BD which is fine for a movie that I don't want to own. It is $5-6 to download from Playstation Network, which is what I have been doing recently, though there are no special features that way.

I just downloaded a couple of episodes of Witchblade the other day. Then I realized that they were dubbed!! Too bad you can't download the original Japanese language versions.

I've tried Gunslinger Girl, Burst Angel and a number of Xam'd episodes; all dubbed.
