Go with the LCD. How about the Sharp 37"? There are some good deals available on them.

And just for fun check out the 45" that has a native resolution of 1080P.

I predict that one day soon, LCD's will rule the world and not plasmas.

Whatever you decide...bigger is better.

I like the idea of the 37" but I want to spend around $3000

You'll get better overall PQ with the Panasonic. By the time LCD's rule the world your plasma will be ready to be replaced anyway ;)

The real question here is how far away will you be from the screen?

EDTV is perfect for display of anything as long as you are the appropriate distance away from it and are feeding it a good source. If you are about 10+ feet back, you probably want the extra inches in size and will be very happy with the picture quality.

If you are going to be right on top of the set, like in a kitchen area or something, then go with a smaller display like the Sharp.

Never mind LCD Projection HDTVs or Plasmas, check out the new generation of HDTVs at a much lower price and a much superior picture quality than any other HDTV on the market now.
LCOS (Liquid Crystals on Silicone) technology is a super HOT!! Technology from Intel, please read many articles on:

He didn't ask about an LCD projection TV or ANY projection TV. He asked about two flat panel displays. LCOS is not new, and is just another projection technology that has potential, but still isn't CRT.

Mr. T,

"LCOS (Liquid Crystals on Silicone) technology is a super HOT!! Technology from Intel, please read many articles on:"

Actually Intel has announced that they have delayed the introduction of their chip indefinately. They did not develop this technology either. The new JVC D-ILA is basically the same technology. What makes their sets special is there are three different color chips which eliminates the color wheel so familiar in DLP TV's and projectors. Three chip DLP sets are coming as well.
