I've got the 40'' samsung 650 series lcd and on dark scenes, i can see a glow/light in the top left corner, and a litte bit on the bottom? I've tried ajusting {everything} contrast, backlight, brightness, gama, and so on. What's up?

Yeah thats just one of the pifalls of LCD man. My new set does the exact same thing to my great dismay, especially after haveing a plasma previously that had none of this sort of problem.
Its called bleed through I believe.

Yep... normal operation on typical LCD televisions. MY Phillips 47" does the exact same thing, but I can only see it during a pitch black scene, before a movie starts for example. Once the movie or show is actually playing, I can't pick it out even when activly looking for it. Someday this phillips will turn into a bedroom TV, and I will have a larger Plasma for the livingroom.

I should have asked before now but what do you mean by 'back light' showing through? The external light behind the TV in the picture or is it the internal light comes though the screen in some instances?
I just got the LN52A650 and do not notice anything. Blacks are fantastic during dark scenes with no glow. What is your backlight set to?

I'm talking bout the internal light. When the screen is dark up in the left corner the color is slightly brighter/black a little gray. I currently have it in movie mode and the backlight set at 4. Trust me, I have spent (DAYS) adjusting this thing to every setting possible. Turn off all the lghts in the room and pause your LN52A650 on a black screen, and you should be able to notice a slight glow in certain areas. By the way, nice tv.
