LG 42" LCD DVR help...

I am wanting to use the built in DVR with the HDMI input to record TV from the cable box and I only have the option to record from
AV1 AV2 and CATV CADTV

Any ideas how to unlock this or change this to allow recording from the HDMI input???

I called LG and they say it can't be done on HDMI or Componant because it is digital?

That is correct. Recording from an HDMI output is forbidden by the HDCP codes.
