overall, i am very satisfied with these athena's. if your on a tight budget these speakers will make your more than happy!

Very nice #1gamecock I am glad you are pleased.

If that demo is still there at closing time end-of-month ( probably 11/29, if not open Sunday) you can probably get it. However, for matching timbre ( especially since you are a muscian) it might be better to try an get the matching Athena center on eBay or Craig's list as was already suggest.

And yes, you moved up a couple of points in everyone's eyes, at least mine and Adam's I know for sure, when you dog got in th picture :D

As you can tell some of us love dogs :D

Did you get them from AA? I think you'll be okay with the Energy cc100 because the share the same drivers as the Athena LS. I auditioned some LS500 awhile back and enjoyed them enough and felt they offered something different in SQ than the Audition series. And I really like new look of the curved cabinets which were a significant improvment IMO.

Your speakers look exactly like my Mirage except for the omnipolar configuration. Looks like we use the same drivers.

I recently found a complete set of Paradigm Mini Monitors v.2 and the LCR-350 for 45.00 at a garage sale. The only problem is they all had blown tweeters. I looked on e-bay and found replacement tweeters for 40.00 within 20 minutes for the Mini Monitors, and Paradigm sold me a replacement tweeter for the LCR-350 for 48.00. So for about 130.00 I was able to get a complete front stage system.

Gotta love e-bay sometimes. :D
