Adcom GCD-700 wont register disc

Hey!

The Gcd-700 wont register any cds? Any self fix tips out there??

There could be dust on the lens. You could try one of the available lens-cleaning discs, or if you are handy, open the unit and clean off the lens.

There are some things mentioned in the owner's manual for that unit (available here (http://www.adcom.com/data/manuals/gcd_700manual.pdf) in PDF format) on page 10 regarding it not recognizing a disc. I'm guessing that you've considered all of the ones listed, but I'm providing the link just in case.

Throw it away get another one..:D Adam is on it once again...the quickest google searcher in the west...:D

she seems to be working. Reading all discs. even on shuffle!! We will see how long this keeps up!!
