View Full Version : Wall Mounted DVD Player

Would like some pointers on locating (in US) a wall mounted DVD player to connect to the flat panel TV on the wall. Can't seem to locate one, and I know it is probably a dvd player someone had made.

Someone out there must have had this similar request.

why not just get a shelf. Most people put their electronics in a cabinet and run the wires up through the wall to the tv for a slick install, Or locate the electronics in a closet somewhere.

I havent ever seen a wall mounted dvd player, The first problem that comes to mind is seeing the wires and connections on the back.

Well, if I wanted a shelf I would have put one in... There is limited real estate and we dont want a shelf. On a side note I did fine one player from LG looks promising, but it is not on the market yet .. LG DVS450H

Looks like something you'd find at the Sharper Image or in a Hamacher Schlemmer catalog on a plane!! MAybe I'm just cynical, but in my experiences electronics that are primarily designed for looks tend not to perform as well.

B&O makes a breath-taking (IMO) CD player that can be wall mounted - the BeoSound 9000. I don't see a similar item for DVDs from them, but you could check their stores.

There is also the NU PDP100 (http://www.nuidigital.com/Cine_DVD_Player_p/9pdp100g0014.htm) player and wall mount (http://www.nuidigital.com/product_p/pdp100wallmount.htm).

I agree with the others I don't think you'll find a player of any decent quality that is specifically made to wall-mount. There are players that have specific mounts built for them, either for rack installation or wall, but they are usually a separate item.

Any way you can post a pic of this area you're talking about?
