Blu-ray BDP S300 WONT PLAY THE HULK

"EDIT" its actually a BDPS301...Well I went and rented The Hulk and The Happening And to my supprise neither one would play. They would load but took forever but thats normal and it would go threw the introductions and allow you to choose play, different sceen options ect but when you hit play nothing would happen except the menu options would disapear and it would just keep playing the same part over and over but without the menu options . Then when I tryed The Happening It actualy started to play and go threw all the federal protection warnings and then nothing . So I put a few of my other BLU-RAYS in and they all worked except for the two I rented. Is there some up dated downloads out there that im missing or what. I tell ya Im pretty disapointed with sonys bd player since day one super slow loading and ALL commands are all delayed. Is there any decent bd players out there in the 300 dollar price area that will perform better and that will compliment my pioneer 94 with hd sound ? Im so fed up with this sony im ready to toss it in the trash seriously. Thanks in advance for everyones help : (

Well I found and installed the update 4.30 the latest version For the BDP-S301from Sonys Website and it works now and loades way faster. I guess it even has dolby digital plus and dolby true hd audio now that It didnt have before:D and some other options like being able to play The Hulk lol. Well its late now so probably watch The Happening and then tomorrow The Hulk. Ok I take everything I was thinking about my Sony bd player back and half of what I said :p as long as it keeps performing well I'll wait on the upgrade but if it starts giving me any issues again the PS3 Will be my next upgrade .

nice to know that the dedicated players aren't total crap :) one day when they get their act together, i'll probably move to a dedicated player for my HT's.

YA im pretty happy now but like I said will see how it goes so far so good but im a little gun shy now so i'll keep a PS3 within reach :D

Glad you got the fix. I'm glad to see Sony adding DD+ and DD HD upgrades.
