Technics Sl-mc410 gone crazy

I have had this thing for years. Been good to me till now.
When I turn it on it just sits there and checks disk till the cows come home.
Sometimes I cant even turn it off, I have to pull the power cord out.

I was hoping someone new of a hidden reset or something (yea a hail mary).
It seems looking on the net not many mega cd changers out there.

If this is EOL for this one I'd like to find another. Any out there that don't cost a arm and leg.

Just in case you don't have the manual anymore, you can download it here (http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SLMC410.PDF) (another site is here (http://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/SLMC410%20book.pdf) in case some of it is difficult to read). It contains a troubleshooting section.

I typically unplug a unit and leave it unplugged for about an hour to try and reset any electronics. It sounds like you might have something on the lens, though.
