The best DLP projector under $5K on the market today?

The projector will be matched with an 82” Stewart Firehawk screen. It needs to be as bright as possible, because there is a large picture window which lets in a fair amount of light in spite of the blinds over it. Right now, the top prospect is the Vidikron Model 20. Can anything DLP beat it for under $5K? Room dimensions are roughly 15’ x 15’. Thanks in advance for your counsel.

Make sure to scour www.projectorcentral.com before you buy a projector. A couple of years ago that is what I did and I have been very, very happy with my site unseen projector that I got.

The projector you listed was released over a year ago, which means it has been surpassed in contrast, brightness, and aspect ratio due to pushes in pj technology. Look for something just released and you will get a lot more bang for the buck.
