Was never a fan of Poison, but I am surprised that one of CC DeVilles solos was ranked the worst ever. Strange coming from Guitar World too. I used to really be into that stuff about 15-20 years ago (metal). Everyone has their opinion even if it is most probably wrong. I often wonder how they come up with those rankings anyway. :rolleyes: A lot of that stuff just got old to my ears over time. Some of the older Def Leppard stuff really kicked (kicks) butt. Would like to see the whole article.

I've always thought CC Deville & Hendrix were both pretty lame. I'm in the minority, though.

Hmmm, one of my personal favorite solos is Eddie Van Halen's solo on Hear About It Later on Fair Warning (as well as Mean Street). His work on that album was very good.

I've never cared for Hendrix's stuff either. One other solo that I really thought was good was Warren DeMartini's (Ratt) solo on In Your Direction (Out of The Cellar).

Have they ever done a best guitar solo of all time? :p
