Hey All, I have a Sony STR-DA4ES driving an Energy EPS-150 subwoofer, via the "subwoofer out" RCA jack @ the rear of the 4ES. The 4ES has loads of adjustments, but for the subwoofer setting I leave it @ 0db. The EPS 150 cranks out the low frequencies just fine. I have a Yamaha YST-SW200 subwoofer connected to the Energy EPS150 via a 15 foot RCA cable, from the EPS 150's "low level output" RCA jack. Using a digital multi-meter, and checking for voltage between the center pin and ground collar of the RCA cable @ the Yammy, the voltage is present and varies just as it does @ the EPS 150's RCA cable. Problem is, the output of the Yammy is next to nothing. No adjustments on the EPS 150 make any difference, except the actual "subwoofer level", which if adjusted high enough to hear the Yammy, makes the EPS 150 so obnoxious you can hear/feel little else. The only adjustments the Yammy has are "high cut" and volume. Any ideas? I can't explain why I have 2 subs for one 15 foot square room with 12 foot ceilings, I just do. TIA, GEER

Hehe... 15 square feet would be a 3x5 room...

Hey, So it is 15 foot L X 15 foot W = 225 Sq. Ft. Only a smart**s would feel the overwhelming need to point that out. You get the point of my question, yes? Or perhaps not... GEER

Not nice to slam the admin he may do nasty things to you.........
Use an RCA Y cable to tap off the subwoofer out from your sony. it will halve the signal strength so adjust your gain accordingly.
I have not yet seen a subwoofer that had a daisy chain ability other than the klipsch 8" sub you can run 16 of the things in one set. never bought one just saw the add for it.
And i run 3 subs myself for my ht system. 2 passive 12" and a dual 8" fairly small room but more than adequate. I love stereo subs.
