Currently my system consist of klipsch sinergy f-3 as mains, klipsch rc-52 as center and 4 sinergy s-1 as surround and surround back, i was thinking into replace everithing but the center to the klipsch reference rsx-5, my question is if this is going to be an upgrade or a downgrade since my main are floorstanders, i dont care to much about the bass it can reproduce since my subwoofer wil take care of it but what i relly want to improve is the quality and the details in sound. I'm going to be drving them with a denon avr-2308ci
thank you for your help

If your planning on up-grading to the Klipsch Reference series. Then yes it is without a doubt a up-grade. IMO a major jump in sound quality.

My opinion is that it would be an upgrade, but yours may differ. Is there any chance you can listen to them before buying, or better yet compare them to your current speakers? The only opinion that matters is yours, so best to let your ears decide.

If you do upgrade, I assume the driver and crossover are different between series. If so, you'll want to get the matching center channel as well in order to keep the front three timbre matched. This will allow them to blend well, will provide the proper soundstage and will help will imaging.

That's just my $0.02.

Even if the rsx-52 is a single 5" woofer and is a small satelite compared with the Double 8" woofer in the f-3 floorstanders?

Thank you for your help, i relly aprciate it

Sorry I didn't realize you where looking at a satellite speaker. I know that the Reference series is better then the Synergy series in sound quality. Example I would rather have a Reference bookshelf over a Synergy floorstander. But I'm not sure about a satellite speaker.

I agree with Nuance. Only you can decide if it is an upgrade or not, and then only by listening.
