There are alot of fans here of Definitive Technology speakers so this months review may peak your curiousity with a review of the Mythos speaker, also the SV Sound PB13-Ultra Sub is in same issue....both very well recieved products!
Absolute Sound has interviews with Bob Carber, Judas Priest and budget gear from Focal, Dynaudio and Sunfire to browse over........cheers

I may have to buy the edition. So how did they like the Ultra? I checked over at SVS they don't have the review on their site yet.

After reading over at AVS, it sounds like the Ultra was reveiwed in a shallow sense. No PEQ adjustments were even made.

Cmon you know that most every print and web review is positive, reviewers like everything sent their way........if a pattern emerged of negative reviews they will get the toys taken away from them right?:D

I'm quite surprised stereophile even bothered to review the Ultra seeing as it is substantially less expensive than most of the products they review in the speaker category.
I drove to the local bookstore, but they didn't have the latest edition yet.

My August issue hasn't shown up yet. It will be interesting to see what they have to say.
I think Stereophile is okay as long as you factor in the styles and prejudices of the various reviewers. Overall they are pretty good and I appreciate the measurements that appear with all the formal reviews.

That is great! Def Tech have always made outstanding speakers, so it is way overdue for them to get some "official" recognition for it.

Yeah, the only thing better would be Audioholics reviewing Def Tech (fingers crossed:D). Gene said he would try to ask Def Tech in September.

I can tell those who cant or wont buy the rag............dont read if you want to find out for yourself..............ok?
The review was about as glowing as it could be and it should open some eyes, the only slight quip was of a hint of glare in midrange but it wasnt s slap and overall about as good as a review can get.

A page and post and no biting comments about DefTechs! I love it!
I need to find some more mags. I get HomeTheaterRag and Sound and Vision. I think all they is review the same stuff and basically modify the prior rags review.

Why would you want them to review speakers that you already own? I like them to review stuff i'm considering purchasing... :)

Because OTHER people might want to know so they can make THEIR buying decisions.
But the real reason for me is that I want to know, and it makes no difference whether I already own them or not.:D

Well, maybe that makes more sense...
It *would* great to have Gene take apart a pair of BP7000SC's... I still want to see a picture of one showing the drivers without the sock... :D
