Recentley my center speaker tweeter has been making some harsh noises mainley in womens diologe. Has anyone had any experiance with paradigms customer service? Can i take it to a retailer and get it checked out? Any idea how much a new tweeter will cost?

I had to replace my S8v2 tweeter as a result of the movers smashing the dome.

I emailed Paradigm and received a response within 24 hours. The offered to mail me a replacement directly, or said I could go to any authorized dealer. I ended up going to Audio Workshop in Brandon, FL. The dealer ordered the replacement $300 (same price as Paradigm offered to ship for) and showed me how to install it. The removal required only an Alan wrench. The tweeters in both the Studio and Signature line are connected by spades (see picture) you can’t mix them up as one is large and the other is small. I’m guessing your tweeter is around $100.

What have you eliminated as probable causes? I'm willing to bet the speaker is functioning as Paradigm intended.

How old is the speaker? Paradigm will just replace the tweeter for free if it's less than 5 years.

I have heard good results from customer service, it would be nice to find out why it failed to make sure something you or your amps is doing doesnt happen again....it could always be just one of those failures that cant be explained aswell.

If you have a test CD with a sweep signal to 20kHz, that should tell you if it is the tweeter or not.

I once had a similar problem with the STUDIO 100s.
I replaced the tweeter but it still made some strange high freq noises.
And it wasn´t the tweeter but a loose connection at the crossover....

I had movers damage a Mini Monitor and Paradigm would not cover it, however I had a friend accidentally fry a tweeter on his Studios and the store he bought them from got it replaced free, so the first place I'd call is your retailer.

I emailed Paradigm earlier today and received a reply within 2 hours.
Cost for a Phantom v.2 tweeter is 50 + shipping and they say it can be ordered directly from Paradigm or dealers
