It's easier for us to learn english than everybody else to learn spanish or french.
O si lo prefieres en Español: Es más fácil que los extranjeros aprendamos inglés a que todos los demás aprendan español o francés.

It's most likely not practical to have any foreign language forums but there's nothing that says you can't start a thread in French or any other language.
It is regrettable IMO that we Americans are so doggedy monolingual in spite of being a "nation of immigrants". I always feel a bit stupid when I travel abroad and routinely meet ordinary people who speak several languages while I can barely struggle along in theirs, phrase book in hand.

It all comes down to geographs, I'm afraid. I studied French through HS & college, and I even got reasonably proficient. But alas, there's not a lot of French spoken in South Dakota. By now I've lost all I've learned due to decades of disuse.
Certainly in many parts of the world it's hard to function or travel without functional knowledge of other languages. If you take a 500 train trip in Europe, you may encounter several languages.
Just as bad as the average American's unwillingness to learn foreign languages is many immigrants unwillingness to learn English. If you moved to Germany and expected the natives to accomodate your desire to speak English, it would be considered the height of arrogance. So why is it different if for those who move here?

Your English is very good. If you need things explained more clearly, ask and perhaps we'll be able to communicate.
