All I have to say is....WOW.....I really liked this movie!! It kinda slid through the box office without much fanfare, but this sleeper of a crime drama exceeded both mine/my wifes expectations.
(rented the BD through Netflix)

As a mob/cop related genre....I tend to lump this one in the same realm as Departed, except my wife and I like this one better.

Two thumbs up.....4 stars

Both the wife and I thought Departed was a WAY better movie. Don't get me wrong, this movie was good. Just not an Oscar winning movie.

I own a copy of Departed and maybe I should spin it for a 2nd time. I think the immense pre-release hype got the better of me because my initial impressions of the movie were those of disappointment. I bought the disc on the day of it's release (thanks to the hype)......and I have yet to watch it a 2nd time. Don't get me wrong because my wife and I both liked Departed.....but I didn't think it was 4 star worthy.

I think I gave Departed 3 or 3.5 stars

This movie was the opposite.....no real expectations, and we both really enjoyed it.
